Professor Erwin is a serial entrepreneur, a leader in a social enterprise and the eLearning field more than 30 years. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Senior Advisor of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, his mission is to teach Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship to university students and to let more young generations understand entrepreneurial spirit, identify social issues, as well as creating social impact through innovations.
He is Deputy Chairman of Junior Achievement Hong Kong, dedicated to inspiring and preparing young leaders to succeed in a global economy thru entrepreneurship and Co-Founder & Chairman of DreamStarter, a new community initiative that makes dream projects initiated by school students come true.
Erwin’s filming experience on “Rich Mate Poor Mate” series in which he first tasted the hardship of underprivileged inspired his dedication on using social innovations and information technology to build social enterprises that could help the underprivileged group among our society.
He is also the Chairman of VR Educate Limited – Consultative Group, is responsible to foster the interest in schools, enhance VR eLearning and maintain VR technology as a school-friendly basis.
Erwin is actively engaged in social entrepreneurship with a view to bridging social needs through innovation and information technology. He is the Founder of Agent of Change, a young social enterprise aiming at provision of low-price high-quality daily necessities to grassroots, and Chairman of Social Career, a new social enterprise, to educate the general public in volunteerism and involvement in social causes and services.
He was elected as Hong Kong Spirit Ambassador in 2013, to convey positive messages to the younger generations by sharing his inspiring stories and experiences.
